It could be the battery but I wouldnt think so since it has only been 4 years. Stranger things has happen. Have you reset the iDrive? Does it happen to both keys? Have you had the battery tested? You should get your answer if those have been done?

I haven't tested the battery, I have a battery tender and I was able to charge the battery to Full in 1 night, does it indicate anything about the battery condition?

I will reset the iDrive, not sure how to do it but will google around...

BTW, who can test the battery for me? I don't want to goto dealership... any other shop?

Do as seanjordan20 suggests. After 4 years, even if it isn't the battery, it isn't long before you'll need one. You can almost always get a $40 off coupon for Advance Auto and use it on a battery. Just Google "Advance Auto Parts coupon". You to order it online and go to the store to pick it up. Get the same kind and capacity as your car has now. That is, if you have AGM, get an AGM. If you have non-AGM (flooded) get a non-AGM.

That is a flooded type battery. My 2006 530xi also had a flooded that I replaced about a year ago.

The one I got was this:
AutoCraft Gold Battery, Group Size 95R, 950 CCA 95R/H9: Advance Auto Parts

I paid $182.99 and had a $50 off coupon. With tax it came to $160.05. Looks like the battery has dropped in price.

Get the best coupon here:

Word of *caution*. You must properly unhook and reattach the vent hose to the battery. The new battery will have a vent hole on each end. One end gets the hose and the other end gets a little plug that is attached to some shipping plastic cover on the battery that is over the positive terminal or somewhere like that. If you don't put the vent on properly, you can get hydrogen gas build up in the car and a spark will cause an explosion.

LoL twh!!! You mad it seem so dangerous. Mission Impossible type s*** I had to say it because I was laughing hard as hell while I was reading it (it made me think of Ghost Protocol when the Kremlin blew up).

twh is right. Make sure you hook it up the way you pulled it out.
