Just did the drain and fill this morning. Car just passed 100k miles. I did not replace the oil pan due to the outside temperature: 29 F degree with sun, no wind. I will replace oil pan in coming spring time. Oil pan had no leak so far. Oil pan bolts were T27 not T40 Oil used was about 4.3 quarts.

What do you guys think about this;
I am the new owner of the car and it has about 75,000 miles on it. It looks like it has always been serviced at the dealer but do not know what exact services have been performed yet (I am in the process of finding this out). I was thinking of leaving the filter on until 1000k miles and doing 3 drain and fills with Amsoil OE trans fluid, probably within 1-2 week time frame and about 300 miles.
I have read this entire thread, and some have done 2 drain and fills, but none have mentioned 3.
What do you think? Will that be good until 100k miles when I get the filter changed?

Finally got around to doing this yesterday. I'll add a couple of tips that may or may not be in this thread.

-loosen but do NOT fully remove the fill plug before you drain the transmission. I do this because I never want to get into a situation where I remove fluid but can't get new fluid back in. Don't remove the plug completely because transmission fluid will come pouring out of the filling orifice. The drain plug has a small rubber seal on it, I replaced mine with a new one. It's cheap, so why not?

-Use INPA to monitor transmission temperature. As stated, the transmission must be filled between 40C and 50C. With the engine running, the transmission will go from 40C to 50C a lot faster than you might think. You have a few minutes to fill, but not much more than that

-RESET ADAPTATIONS!!!!! I used INPA

I did this with my car at 104K. I don't see any evidence of it ever being done before. I had a Mechatronic sealing sleeve on hand, but didn't use it as the one in the car isn't leaking (knock on wood). I noticed a big difference in smoothness of gear changes, particularly the 1-2 up shift and down shifts. I plan on driving the car for a couple hundred miles and then doing a drain and fill again.

Thanks. Ok, so.... from the last steps of filling the trans until it comes out of the fill hole; Start it up, go through the gears, put it in park, watch the temp and fill it until it reaches 50, or until is starts coming out of the fill hole?
Did you have a helper to watch the temps while you pumped and did your helper go through the gears too?

Fill with engine running until it starts coming out of the fill hole. If temperature exceeds 50C while you are filling, you have to turn the engine off, let the trans cool down, and fill again with temp between 40C and 50C.

I shifted through gears and watched temps while inside the car, had a helper pump.

I did this last week me too.
Loosened the return from the heat exchanger to the gearbox to completely change all oil.
I filled the gearbox, started the Engine, and let some oil out, sopped, filled started, stopped, filled etc untill the oil looked good.
