You solder it, and cover it with electrical tape for insulation.

I got lazy n just wrapped it with the wire and black tape it, holds fine to me. I had heat shrink but got lazy ahah.
I am about to just take the high beam bulb out and put a resistors, instead of having to pay the dealer $150 to turn it off. Using the headlight and fog lights both HID lights up the road good enough.

Ok, the good news is that it worked yes! Thank you all! The bad news is that it only worked for 2 seconds and then gone. When I check around, I found that the electrical tape that I use to wrap 400V diode is melting & the diode is disconected with the cable.. Hmm.. I'm wondering did I make any mistake? Do I need to buy ? tennis ball size diode? Lol..

400v diode and it still melted? weird.. Mines didn't melt and I'm using 200V diode which they recommend me to use.

I thought about buying the 400v diode as well, but opted for 200v. I have had no trouble with mine at all.

+1 I used the 200V diode and no issues what so ever. Perhaps the 400V one heats up more but i can't imagine that... try the 200V diode with the part number i specified. Perhaps you got the wrong thing at the electric store bc that diode shouldn't even warm up.

How did you get to the dome light wire - did you have to move the roof liner? Or did you just tap into the wire at the A pillar? Any chance of a picture showing which wire to tapped into?
