AE Illumination when unlocking the car

i am so jealous....im another member from the UK who does not have footwell lights, neither does my brother's or 2 of my cousin's! Its got to be an extra option in the uk! dammit

Well not having footwell light is not the end of it. I tapped into the welcoming dome light. The wire is hidden through the pillar and routed to the top, can't even see it.

correct. Dome light is possible too but just a little more tricky to get done since you have to remove the A pillar trim to route a wire through

ohh i see just push the wire in far enough under the trim eh... not a bad idea but to be clean i'd just run it along the existing harness

Hello everyone..

I need another help, anyone here know which of these 3 cables should I tapped to turn on my drl when unlocking the car? I tried using the voltmeter but didnt work on this one, I still cant find the power cable.

I forgot to mention that I bought the 18 gauge cable instead of 22 as recommended, will this cause any problem?

The white one is the positive for the DRL(also flash-to-pass) bulb. The brown is ground.

eventhough it was really hard for the first timer, I managed to tapped all the cables needed, now my question is how did you guys add the diode in between the cable? Glue it? Tape it?
