Letter to the Dealer before Service Visit

So, I got the car back 48 hours later.

The verdict: Leaking gasget.


I was right. So, they replaced the leaking gasgets and all grommets, changed the oil, changed the wipers, and thats all. If I wanted the iDrive update they said it was $190 and transmission fluid was something not covered and had to be out of pocket so I refused. I did end up having to pay the $50 deductable on CPO work but that doesn't come close to what it would have cost out of warranty. All in all, I'm pleased with them. Whatever they did, the car has way more pep to it and drives smoother. It feels great!

They also said they laughed pretty hard after reading my letter. Hehe.

You got lucky

around here, they would have refused you service and use the letter to BMW NA if you complained.
