Did you forget to put NAV in your signature? Killer option list.

Nice!
Now get some euro reflectors and dress that rear bumper! :-)
Congrats.
Just out of curiosity, I've read somewhere that the reason the E60 ships to the USA without the rear bumper reflectors is because they are illegal? So how come you can then (supposedly legally) fit them (aftermarket?) once the car has moved from dealer to owner?

I understand that there is no 'restriction', or 'standards' to what you can do to a car in the USA for it to be un-roadworthy. Here in the UK once a car is over 3 years old, it has to pass an MOT test ("Ministry of Transport" Test), and meet certain requirements to be roadworthy and legal. (tyre condition, emissions, bodywork condition, modifications, etc...)

Just wondered how it works the US?

Same thing here in Finland. The first inspection for a car is at the age of 3 years, then at 5 years, and then every year thereafter. They check the emissions, measure the brakes, measure the shock absorbers, check the alignment of the lights, check the steering rack (is it within tolerances or is there too much free movement), check if there is too much rust that makes parts weaker, if there are illegal modifications etc.

If you do not pass you need to come back within few weeks with necessary repairs done. Otherwise they'll take your license plates away...
