Finally BMW Australia have released pricing on the E60, and it's not cheap !!

The base unit pricing is as expected, however some of the options are QUITE steep....

$5,000 - dynamic drive
$6,500 - navigation/tv
$3,500 - sunroof

thats $15,000 just for 3 options

A lot of you would be better able to understand what this means in US dollars.

A 530i + above options = $80,000USD (rip off!!)

I am slightly disappointed.

Went to the launch in Sydney tonight, and the cars looked fantastic however I was let down with the interior - particularly:
- the controls for aircon
- cup holder material being different to dash material
- impersonal dash (i guess due to idrive)

It just seems too 'plastic'. The E39 has plastic, but the quality of the materials and the design didnt make it look so obvious.

I am glad to be an owner of an E39 Individual !

I am looking forward to the test drive though.
I'm sure I will like the car more once I get used to it
