Hello im new and been reading the forums for days now. Lots of great info!
Sold my E90 M3 for a E60 535xi and have tires from it that are almost new but I am guessing the fronts will not work, can someone confirm?
265/30/19
285/30/19
Now I would love to make them work but what size wheels and offset would I need to fit on the XI? Will be lowered on KW V3 also..

Don't know about the lowered cars, but from what I have found ET35-ET43 will work for the XI. I have not tried it though so use the info at your own risk.

What width rims? Work in what way?
In terms of keeping the awd system happy? No, it will not. the sdrive system needs the front and rear diameters to be within 1% otherwise the car thinks it is losing traction.
Search around the forums for your answer regarding offsets and fitment there is some good info, it is much easier to answer specific questions.

Evan,
Thank you for the reply. Guess I wrote that a bit late to make sense.
I have not bought any rims yet, only have tires which I would like to fit on future rims. The question is what size rims would I need to fit these wide of tires on the E60. It does not seem anyone is running 265s up front on this chassis.
However I was not aware of the car thinking its losing traction with this staggered setup so I may rethink the whole scenario. Had thought others were staggered setups in this thread without issues with the car.

My car is lowered on coilovers, and from my current setup, 245's on 8.5" ET33 in front seems to be a good fit. For the rear, I currently have 245's on 8.5" ET31 and it looks like I can easily put 275's and go up to 9" or 9.5" with ET in mid 30's for both.

The 245/35x19 is exactly factory spec E60/61 for an 8"-8.5" so if you have or are getting a set of wheels in same size, that tire is just right. You could also go taller to 245/40x19 which will fill in your fender gap nicely.
