Just wrapped up all 71 pages and have concluded this is an amazing resource.

To me I think norsecarnut has it figured out! The KWs are outrageous and not one person likes the HR option. Increasing tire size gives the best compromise of better looks via filled out arches without sacrificing ride.

Realizing that the M5 ran 255/40/19 and 285/35/19 seems to indicate there should be no issues with these plus sized tires given the right offsets. I'm thinking I might go 255/45/18 all around and do 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers on my type 135s (33 front and 28 rear offset with the spacers).

Very excited to try this out! Can't wait for these runflats to die.

@Jakekit, I bet that white with natural brown and M-Sport looks great! Not many E61 in Raleigh.

I'd like to respectfully but strongly suggest that you do not put a 255 on the factory 135. Given that rim is only 8" wide, 255 is inappropriate/incorrect width when combined with 45 profile. (my info shows that the 135 when spec for E60 is an 8"x18" ET 43. There are 8.5" wide 135 style for E90/E85 but they had ET 50)

The tire will "bloat" out at it's circumference because the treat is wider than the rim. People get away with this on a low profile tire but that size 255/45x8 will actually result in a nasty cornering weight shift as the tire deforms unnaturally. Think of it as the opposite extreme from where people "stretch" a tire onto a rim that is much wider than the tire was design to fit. In that case at least, the tire stays put but a 255/45x18 will handle like a balloon. I know because I tried it once after the tire shop said it would fit "fine".

I have the 245/45 on both the 8" wide winter wheels and the 8.5" wide summer wheels. I wouldn't try 255/45 unless I had 9" wide wheels. There are a lot of good tire options in the 245/45x18 size but I'd had very good results and wear so far from the Bridgestone 960/970 All Season Pole Position.

I don't mind the ride of the RFT I have for winter at all but maybe it's because I'm using them in larger size (side wall) that makes it seem no different from the non-RFT summers.

Point well taken Norse. I my have to save the 255s for a wheel upgrade.

The 535 is definitely a rare beast. Especially with m sport. I ventured to Chicago to find this example. (Florida car)

I upped mine to 255/40 & 285/35 on 8.5" & 9.5" staggered 18" wheels. The ride is comfier although not as fun in the corners as my OEM spec sizes prior. For me its the perfect balance, as this is my daily commuter car for an hour each way to and from work.

Wow 18 pages of replica wheels and +30 offsets asking if it will fit with bulky sidwalls.

Some been there done that advice Falken 452's have the best sidewall for clearing fenders.
19x9" rim order 225/40/19
19x10" order 265/35/19

Use those tires, and any +30 or higher offset. yes it will fit your car.

For HR Spring + Shock combo 50% less than KWv3
E60 525xi/528xi/530xi/535xi H&R/Bilstein Sport Suspension Package - Turner Motorsport

Lets move on to a more interesting topic, how about those 21" Style 128 9" 10" +24, anyone fit those?

The 135M wheel for RWD can be fit on e60 AWD ?
I've an e60 530xd with 135M with Offset ET43 and the 135M wheels for RWD have an offset ET20

I find that the 135M for AWD have a better look that 135M designed for AWD

After reading a ton of post's and checking the web I have narrowed down my choices to VMR 710/703's or Miro 111's for wheels to upgrade my 2003 530XI. One thing I am unsure of is wheel size, is there a difference in ride between 18" and 19" wheels? I have the stock suspension and not looking to lower it for a while.

I have some M5 wheels that I had on my E90 that I was wondering if they would work on my E61 xDrive. They are F 19x8.5 38 offset and R 19x9.5 20 offset. What do you guys think?
