.
As for wheels, there are actually a great deal of options out there, but you should at least get an idea of which direction you want to take.
My summer BBS CK's will probably be for sale soon - they are a square setup, 19x8.5" all around with 245/35/19 Hankooks. Offset is ET35 all around, no rubbing at all. You may even get away with a 5-7mm spacer in the back - although I didn't try that, because it looks great to me as they are and I don't want to add any unnecessary weight/complications. Tires are about 5-5.5 months old, still have plenty of tread left. A little curb rash on one of the wheels, but barely noticeable. You can see pics here: http://forums.5serie...her-photoshoot/
Other than that, just read through this thread and see what you want to do. Consider road conditions in your area, whether you want these wheels to be all season or just summer. I went with BBS because this side of forged wheels, they are the best, bar none, as far as reliability is concerned. Stock BMW wheels are wimpy - get bent all the time in NYC... anyway, your question is too vague to give an unbiased opinion, so I gave you my personal view of it. If you want to know more, you can always narrow down your questions and/or PM me - I'm always happy to help out
Good Luck!
PS almost forgot: if you're gonna get 19's, most likely you're gonna want to drop the car eventually. 18's - you can leave the suspension alone, it will look okay. It won't have that "stanced" look, but it will look fine enough for 18's.

And yes, there's no such thing as an '08 530xi. Stopped making that model in '07.

And he did post in this thread and not another, so give the NooB some credit
Like I said, guys, if anyone feels like this thread doesn't answer any of your questions, you're more than welcome to post more questions and PM me. If you find more info, please post it into this thread, so that we have a centralized Xi database for people who may have similar issues in the future. I remember, when I was looking for wheels and suspension, it was very frustrating, since no one really knew anything about it. Thanks to C and DrLev, I got started, Michael from Acute carried me the rest of the way. John (now he's from Motorcepts ) helped out a great deal. But being challenging is what also made it more fun, more unique...

And if you can, invest in BBS and forged. Not that I'd pass Miros or VMR either, but when it comes to consistently battling potholes, you can't go wrong with BBS or any quality forged wheels
PS For some reason the BBS that came as standard equipment on E60 aren't that strong actually, I was referring to aftermarket BBS.
