But here's my issue. I just upgraded my '08 535xi wheels from the boring stock style 243 17x7.5" to a staggered setup of Avant Garde M310's (19x9.5 ET33 rear, 19x8.5 ET35 front). I also lowered with KW V3's, about 1.5" per corner. Looks great, but now my rears are rubbing. I'm trying to determine if the rubbing is on the outside (fender) or on the inside (suspension). I'm not particularly mechanical, but after eyeballing it, it looks to me like there's tons of room on the inside of the wheel. Is that typically true of our cars, or am I misunderstanding what I'm looking at?

Bottom line is that I'll happily have the fenders rolled, if that's the problem. (No way I'm raising it any higher!) But obviously, I need to verify where I'm rubbing first. Here's a couple of pix of the rear wheel. Let me know if this gives you any hints.
WOW The car looks great

I'm not sure if you've already resolved the rubbing issue, but I'm sure you just need to roll those fenders. I seriously doubt it's rubbing on the inside - definitely outside.

No ARS on Xi.

Maybe turn up the stiffness, you shouldn't rub. You have tons of gap still (too much).

I agree there's still too much gap. That's why I was so surprised to be rubbing. I'm back from vacation tomorrow and can see if I can tweak the stiffness. And no doubt, I'll be looking for someone to roll my fenders this week.

Did you make any head way on the rubbing issue?? I have an 06 e61 with m-tech package and blah blah. Just ordered 166 style with 19x8.5/19x9.5. Want to go 40 series in the front and 35 rear. curious to where the rubbing is, prob fender.

Hey guys.. Just got my kw V3's done at Motorcepts. Also got my sway bar end links done too. I've been adjusting the stiffness every time i stopped the car. Its riding good now. I am riding on the miro M6 reps but the only problem I have is that Im all the way down on the last turn (front) and I still have 10 turns left (rear). I wish I could go lower some how in front.. Ill definitely consider new wheels for next year but not sure what yet? I heard that as an XI, we cannot go too off with the staggered set ups? Is this true? I want to poke out aggressively on my next wheel. How far can I go? How low of an offset? 25(front) 22(rear) ?

Hey sway bar end link is to prevent knocking in the front? What's the actual process?? How does it ride? Have you cornered hard after getting it done?
