I explained it above, Don.

"If a thread is about kills (illegal street racing), it will be deleted."
Now you seem to be saying something else. The problem is that your words are easy to understand. It's just that you apparently don't really mean to say what you say.

Ice you speak very good English. But, you have a tendency to be imprecise with it. Thus, the things you say sometimes create misperceptions. Above, you unequivocally said:

I am not saying something else.
I am saying the same again and again.
And for my tendencies, my dear... Not more than others and yourself.
Didn't read the whole thread, but I think too many sub-forums is bad thing. An organized forum is welcomed, but too many sub-forums just waters down the main forums and decreases traffic and input on certain threads.
For most of these threads, I don't see why they can't stay within the confines of "e60 discussion." I rather enjoy comparison threads, whether they're about performance, actually buying the car, interior/exterior or whatever. The point being is that these are actually entertaining threads which can result in good discussion, but often times the thread "life" is cut short after they are moved to their "correct" sub-forum.
Also, I don't see why certain threads/posts need to be deleted unless absolutely necessary. Just because forum members have a disagreement or don't see eye to eye with moderators/administration, I don't think that warrants the deletion of posts and threads. This type of action is really overzealous moderating in my mind.
Maybe we should just ban Iceman

I must say, I was enjoying this thread while away. I was unable to get to a computer but I have access to my email. This was a lively conversation. No need to remove it please.
Man, if it wasn't for my Thanksgiving dinner downstairs and all the family members here, I'd jump on this train ride (or train wreck?) and offer some of my own (probably unsolicited) opinions but..........I'll be back after I have a few more remy martin and coke.

Who says it is so important?
I don't see it important at all.
BMW publishes the numbers, everything else we do on the streets is irrelevant, IMHO.
I don't see the NEED for such a forum.
We have this discussion because somebody felt uncomfortable with the moving of his thread, something we do every day.
If a thread is about kills (illegal street racing), it will be deleted. If it is about performance E60 vs. E60 it is main forum. E60 vs. other cars is competition. It's easy...
A new forum would create a bigger mess than it allready is (as some claim) and would easily lead into discussions about illegal activities, which E60.net does NOT support.
Absolutely no need for a new forum.
Exactly.

It appears that you have let your personal preferences overide the interests of a large segment of forum members.
...
...
I have given my humble opinion as a user and member of this community. But it seems a lot of people here on the forum can not split member Iceman and Moderator Iceman into two different people.
And, btw, a large segment of forum members... I disagree that it is large.
