So, I'm guessing we will not be seeing another "5-Series Offical Kill" thread, but the admins will let pass individual kill threads. Do I get that right, Lomag?

Ice, make a performance forum so you don't have to keep moving all these threads and everybody will be happy =)

First of all: I can't. I am a mod, not an admin. Only admins can create and close forums.
Second: As I said, I don't see the need for another forum and I see problems that will come with this new forum, if created.

If this forum will be created, I will just handle it as all other forums. Because in all of my jobs I had, currently have and will do in the future, it never is important fr my decissions if I like something or not.
Believe it or not, I allready got fired once because I did my job too emotionless. (It was a job where you shouldn't show any emotions, btw.).

But another question comes to my mind. With all the forums we allready have... If we continue like this we will have forums for everything soon. Where shall we stop?

"The bottom line is this: this board does not endorse, condone, or encourage illegal behavior of any kind. Therefore, while I'm sure Mark and I won't get involved in policing discussions that reference a friendly race here and there, we don't want to have in-depth, focused topics on "kills", that, even if not intended to do so, encourage discussion of such "kills" on public streets and roadways."
OK, so here comes policeman Don again...

There are LOTS of threads and posts in our forums that would have to be deleted. But we let them live. Only if it is going too far we delete.

In example is EVERY thread about a radar detector to be deleted, because a radar detector implies that someone WILL go over the limit and doesn't want to get caught.
Replicas, another such "illegal" thing.

But we let a lot of things slide. Why? Because we are not Gods or the Police.
Everybody is speaking for himself, is grown up and knows when he is doing something illegal. And by posting it on a public forum he can put himself into trouble.
We only interfere when we really need to, when it goes too far.

The "rules" of our forum are there so that we can act, but these are rules we have given ourselves, so we decide if we act by the rules or not. And as I said, we only do this if we have to.

If you search the forum you find a lot of race stories and kill stories.Still...

Illegal street racing IS kills, kills IS illegal street racing. Therefore it should be deleted.
In fairness, please note that I apparently was revising my post 31 when you were replying. You might want to read it again given what you say above. What you say you do, or should be done, is inconsistent with admin policy.

Bye bye for now Ice.

P.S. A "Kills" thread is a thread in which many list, and discuss, their kills in the same thread.

That's true, but in fairness I don't think we're talking about race and kill stories here, just a single repository for performance related discussion - good examples being the 0-60 threads, quarter mile times, track times, weight reduction, and other threads where the E60's performance in general is up for discussion.

I explained it above, Don.

If you don't want to understand I can't help you, sorry.

Read it again.

Correct. We are talking about the incorrect placement of topics which obviously have to do with 5-series performance.

But in the case which caused the discussion it was a comparison with a competitor and therefore in the wrong place.

If we would have such a "performance" forum the thread in question would still be better in the competition forum than in the new one, because it was comparing the E60 with a competitor.

I have sadi it many times, E60 vs. E60 stays in main.
