And, btw, a large segment of forum members... I disagree that it is large.
Maybe you should start paying attention to my other poll--the one you moved inappropriately.

This is ridiculous. Ice... I had much more respect for you before you became a mod. I honestly dont think you're suited for the job. Just like you said... this is MY OPINION. You seem to have a lot of opinions for the "greater good" of the board. But in fact its not. I think you're hurting the reputation of the board right now as you cause a lot of debate / argument posts on the board.

I'm done. do whatever you want let me know when the board gets back on track. As of now the board ummm how do i say it... sucks.

I heard it, thanks.

And what I have to say is: Nothing has changed. I am doing the same I allways did. But this time I moved a thread from someone who started a big discussion because he is offended by the moving.
I didn't caused any debates, I just moved a thread and someone started the pissing contest.
Should I just be quiet?
Should I just move the thread back, even though even our admin Mark (Lomag) said I was right? This would lead to more trouble.

The discussions that started were dragged down to a dirty level by people that obviously don't like me and never did. That's fine if there are people that doesn't like me, I can live with it. Also I can live with the fact that we have different opinions.
But if there is so much hostility against me from a couple persons I don't just continue as if nothing had happened.

Nah... obviously you cant... you're not working with everyones opinion... you're blinded by your own and you're reluctant to see things another way... reluctant to see other people's opinions.

No, things have changed... you became moderator and now have become power hungry and want to control the whole board making it the way you like it. Before you couldnt move threads and then the longer you became mod the worse things have become. I prefer if you were just a member contributing even if it was just to say "welcome to newbies"

I am not power hungry.
What power, btw?
I am doing what I was asked to do.

And if you were following the whole discussion (well, more a pissing contest in several threads now) neutral, without emotions, you should know that your last statement is not just wrong, it is a lie (since I have allready posted my point of view several times). I said many times, I don't see the need for this new forum. This is my opinion, which I can have even though I am a moderator. I allready said I am not bias. You and Don simply don't want to give me the right to say what I think as a person, because I am a moderator. And THAT's inappropriate.

Power comes with drawbacks... use it wisely... ok no new forum... then stop moving threads that can and do belong in the General Discussions then.

I don't know if we create a new forum. This is not my decission.

I was asked by our admins if I wold do the moderator job. This job includes the moving. I only move those threads that belong to another forum. I also moved threads from some, as said here before "back page" forums to the main one. I move the stuff in the place where it belongs to.

The whole discussion is extremely inappropriate, because it was caused by someone who felt offended when his post was moved into the correct forum, which even Lomag agreed.

One quick suggestion guys, maybe there is a compromise here. I wonder if it might be possible to have any performance-related discussions housed in a *sub* forum, much like the group buy sub forum that was attached to the classified forum? It could be a sub forum off the main E60 discussion, the competition, or perhaps parts/accessories and mods. That way we don't clutter up the main forum list and we still get a dedicated area for this topic for those who are interested. What do you think? I also wonder whether one of those of us who are asking for the forum might want to step up and help Ice and Rudy etc by volunteering to help "moderate" any new forum that Lomag and Das might agree to set up? Not asking for additional mods, just suggesting one of us might be able to take on and share some of the additional load that this new sub-forum might create for our current moderating team.

I am unfamiliar with the sub forum your are talking about so I can't really comment on the viability of your suggestion. But, while perhaps not clear, I, personally, don't care if we have another forum or not. I just want performance topics classified where performance topics should be post and not, for example, in meet or greet since meet and greet is not what's happening. What's happening is some guys are getting together to test 5er performance--not to meet or greet.

Bottom line: I don't think the issue under consideration is having a separate 5er thread or not. IMO, the issue is having topics posted in the right place and not being moved to an inappropriate place--i.e., one that is inconsistent with what the topic really is about.

Please, why don't you just tell people it's me? Everyone knows.

You really think it started with me? Open your eyes real wide. I have seen a lot of others complaining about the moving of threads since you first assumed the Moderator role. Does Ray Hull come to mind? This has been simmering for a long time now. It's just that I am the most vocal. I have seen a few threads here that speak of this very subject.
