Hi Peter,

that's the point. It's a 3 day event! I'm e.g. may only participate one day (maybe the factory visit). What is planned on the other days?

nothing is mandatory to participate. Only if you want the BMW plant visit you have to book for real with santiago. Other then that there is no exact plan or timing. just bunch of E60's together - so I'm sure a lot to do

Hi Peter,

?hm... according to a post of Santiago the plant visit is on the 20th. Then he points out doing something on the friday, so the 21th.... so 18th - 20th seems not the right timeline, right?

If the plant is on 20th and "tripping around" on 21th I maybe stay a night...

Guys, you're right, but I posted "just the details" once already and again it is buried under so many comments..

I do not want to start a new thread so as I post the current list on Fridays, I will just re-post the trip details.

I will put them here now:

* Travel day: Tuesday, 18 July 2006
* Check in at the Lindner Hotel Kaiserhof in Landshut - RESERVE YOUR OWN ROOM - flyer attached.
* Members meeting at hotel after 15:00 (separate room?? TBD).
* Dingolfing factory tour: 19 July 2006, 08:30 - BE THERE AT 08:15 or earlier - we'll leave from the hotel together.
* Lunch at the plant's cafeteria - invited by BMW management - nice touch!
* Dingolfing "special meeting" with engineers. 13:00 to 15:00 or so. This is something that BMW has graciously agreed to do ONLY for us - it is not part of a regular tour - never is. Submit topics you'd like to discuss with them - PM me with them or post them.
* Return to hotel - party until we're sick.
* Check out Thursday, 20 July 2006. Travel to Munich (not very far)
* BMW Munich factory tour, 12:30 to 15:00 or so
* Check in hotel (this is still TBD) - or continue either to Garmisch or Chiemsee to just hang out as a group.

The meet can be over on Thursday and everyone can go back home or we can stay another rnight and go see the Neuschwenstein Castle or the Herrencheimsee castle - this is still TBD and UP TO YOU ALL.

Any questions - PM me to keep the thread specific to the meet.

ONE PROBLEM: BMW Munich can only take 30 people so I will be forced to close the list when we get to 30 people with actual reservations at the hotel. Dingolfing can take up to 60, but not Munich.

Last thing ORDER YOUR CLINGS FROM LOMAG. Show the www.e60.net logo on our cars and publicize the forum.

That's it.

Santiago.

You have to "book for real" with the Lindner Hotel. But tell me if you're coming, where you are coming from and tell me how many people are coming with you. Then tell me if you're actually bringing your car with you so BMW Dingolfing can secure parking for us. In will be public parking at the Olympia Stadium in Munich for the BMW tour if you choose to go as well.

Also, PM me with your real name so I can pass it on to BMW for security purposes. I have 2 lists of attendees - one with screen and real names and one with screen names only. That's the one I post on Fridays.

If you just want to hang out and don't care for the plant tours - just come out to the Lindner hotel on Tuesday, mid afternoon. I suppose everyone will have arrived by 18:00

If we decide to go beyond Thursday, you can come out as well - but no decision has been made yet for Friday.

Cheers!

ANOTHER UPDATE

BMW Munich clarified their position. The CAN and WILL accept two groups of up to 30 people on Thursday, 20 July. I misunderstood the "30 max" tag line. They have booked us for two groups of up to 30 people each.

We are up to 32 people with actual reservations now. I will find out about Garmisch tomorrow - I think it's much more picturesque than Chiemsee, especially if we take the train and cable car to the top.

Stand by...
