HAHAHA Yeah I think it does - Article 12, subsection b) One must eat, and like, one Twinkie or and entire Apple Pie before receiving Oath of Citizenship

Well you Californians now have a chance to vote on legalization.
Good, at least they are leaving it up the voters this time. I don't smoke weed, never have, but it would still be a great source of revenue and relief to those it helps medically.

And if you are going to bring up those that pay no taxes you should also mention those that pay little taxes. It seems fair to me that if you are going to whine about those that pay no taxes not getting to vote then those that pay little should also have less of a voice as well.
Hey now! m630 pays more taxes than many people earn as a salary, so he gets to write books to preach his heartache!!

Always amusing to me to see so many bloggers start off their posts with the Disclaimer that they have no dog in the fight. In actuality, after reading their posts that follow, it is obvious they usually are the ones who do.

This however, could cause the shutdown of many companies depending on how heavy the tax is. It is the same as the luxury tax many years ago...instead of the boat buyers paying the tax to keep the prices down, the boat makers had to end up paying the tax. That's why the luxury tax was abolished. However, the demand for junk food is a less elastic, so more burden would fall on the consumer. Again, time would tell.

Okay, my bad, sarcasm sometimes has difficulty coming across the internet. Here's your cookie

BTW, any response to some of the ideas presented earlier? I think taxing unhealthy foods would certainly help pay for the preventative care outlined in the new bill IF and only IF the taxes generated actually go towards that. Unfortunately I have little faith ANY administration (Rep or Dem) can actually make that happen - their track record on focused taxes is not very good.
