I have been cognisant of everything I do since i was a teenager. I didnt knock up 3 chicks, didnt waste my money on drug habits (car habits, yes) I lived above my means from time to time, but not in such a way i cant recover.
So I have lived a straight and narrow life, and made decisions based on how it would affect my future. it is a combination of hard work, determination, motivation, foresight, rationality, amongst other things. My family is doing well now, but when i was growing up, I lived with my mother and stepdad, my mom was a stay at home mother, stepdad was in retail management. My father has a 10th grade education. I cant tell you how many nights i had macaroni and cheese for dinner or pancakes for dinner. the less fortunate thing doesnt work for me, my father was a prime example of WORKING HIS ASS off like nobody else i have ever seen. contracting, asbestos removal, odd jobs, worked non stop. never aspired to be more. He would be doing the same today if he didnt have a really bad accident about 10 years ago and win a lawsuit and invest his money correctly.
so i understand the underprivelaged, harder work scenario. i came from it and did something about it.

I agree that some of the hardest workers are the least privelaged. They also have no aspirations to get themselves out of the hole they are in. I work 12 horus a day, I am currently wearing a tie and sitting behind 2 flat screen monitors, AC is cranking and I am watching fox news on what i estimate to be a 20 foot screen in front of me. my last post got off topic, let me tie it in... It is a mindest you need to be in to succeed in life if you come from an underprivelaged upbringing. I did it, and therefore, I am entitled to my Aetna helthcare.

When was the last time you checked out COBRA coverage rates?
Imagine if you (or your children) develop an illess and then you lose your health coverage. Then watch what happens when you try to renew it.

Pike County prosecutor Rob Junk says the baby's toes on one foot were gone when sheriff's deputies went to the home Sunday after receiving an anonymous tip.
The baby is in fair condition at a Columbus hospital.
A married couple and the 18-year-old boyfriend of the baby's mother are charged with felony child endangering. They were in court for an initial hearing Tuesday. They're jailed pending a plea hearing in two weeks.
The prosecutor says they all lived in the mobile home west of Piketon, a village noted for its old uranium enrichment plant.
He says the baby's mother is a juvenile. He won't identify her or say if she'll be charged.
