+1!!!
They have changed the rules, qualifying ect. several times during the past years and I can hardly recall F1 being as boring as it is now!!
About the engine: It's 8 engines for the whole season. The ninth gives a 10 place penalty in the starting grid.

A huge difference is also made by the complete testing ban.
Race weekend Fridays is the only testing that is allowed.

Yes, they try to save some money, too much I would say

Some (including me) would say McLaren got punished too harshly in the recent past so I guess these things even out.

Yep. Just a very good job by Martin Whitmarsh of apologizing his ass of to the FIA.

But it is a 12 month suspended sentence. Who knows what else McLaren can attempt to get away with in that time.

This isn't a sport anymore. I'm getting tired with each race. I say race because it's almost impossible for something to not go wrong in a race. Someone is trying to cheat someone, most of the fate is decided in Courts or by FIA....WTF?! Where's the racing FIA? Where are the overtakes and excitement you promised?

I hear you and I feel the same. One thing I wanted to suggest. Why don't a rich team like ferrari buy over another team from say Prodrive David Richards and then use that team as a test mule. Like the link with red bull and Torro Rosso,... say ferrari link with a new team called Team Fiat which will use a ferrari engine and similar body. Just claim as red-bull BullSh!t that torro rosso is totally independant.

Then ferrari can test any new parts at every race from friday, saturday and sunday and if it works with reliability, next race its in the ferrari car. This will get around the test ban in my opinion.

I am sure Mclaren can get valuable data from the engines it sells on to BrawnGP and force india even though the latter might be an older design engine.

Try watching MotoGP for a start. I promise you, it will not let you down for overtaking and excitement. In F1,.. you like to watch a procession, then you are watching the right program. hehehe..

cheers guys.
