Take a look at the 10-22 EF-S. It's L quality glass.

I was looking for a new lense and wanted to ask you guys for recommendations. I have the canon rebel XTI right now with the lenses it comes with, I think 18-55. What do you think the best bang for the buck would be not spending a ton on a lenses.

I mostly do scenery type stuff, nature I guess.
Your other options are 3rd party lenses like Sigma, Tamron or Tokina. These are the big three for 3rd party lenses. Sigma makes a very highly rated lens that some pro photographers claim to be better than the Canon above. The Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM. This lens is just as wide as the Canon and takes some amazing shots. This lens is a part of the Sigma EX pro series, so it has excellent optics and awesome build quality. Prices are between $490-$570 in the U.S.
From Tamron there is the Tamron AF 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Di II LD Aspherical. It's not as fast nor wide nor long as the Sigma. It also isn't built as well. The price is also between $490-$570.
Last but not least, there is the Tokina AT-X 124 AF PRO DX 12-24mm f/4. Also a good lens with good reviews and solid build quality. Costs a bit less than the Canon, Sigma or Tamron at between $390-$480.
My recommendation to you for a wide angle zoom is, if you have the $$$ go for the Canon. If you want to save a little bit without sacrificing image or build quality, go for the Sigma.
If your requirements for a lens are not at the wide end. Let us know and we'll recommend something else.

ok guys my olympus camera that i had for idk how many years just gave out on me.
So im in the market for a new one. I am not a pro or anything but do enjoy taking alot of photos.
my budget is about 500-750.
I was at Circuit City since it is going out of business and I was testing some cameras out I like the Canon Rebel XSi I believe it was, i also really liked a couple of Sony Cybershots (point and shoot) cameras there were about 200-300 dollars
so my question is should I go with something a bit less lower in price as a jump off point to gather more knowledge, skill etc. in Photo or should I just look of what Canon or Nikon has as far as like the Rebelesque cameras (DSLR)???

Canon Xsi is a good camera to start with....my personal favorite is Canon because of its L lenses.....buy the 28-135mm IS USM when u start and then buy a 24-105 L lens
