My Ride: 2008 E90 335i Titanium Silver GONE - 2005 530i Titanium Grey

I could have sworn there were more of us Aussies on this board. That said, I've been a bit lax with my visits and obviously haven't visited since the original post!

I'm up in BrisVegas and have a 2005 530i and like Oz540, have had issues with the piss poor throttle response. The adaptive learning doesn't help the issue with my wife driving it a lot more since we had our daughter recently. Still, it's a great car and the only thing I'd change her for is another 5 series.

G'day Mate,

I'm another Aussie that browses the E60 forums weekly. I've had my 2005 530i MSport for just over 2 years and absolutely love it. The wife drives an '02 ML270Cdi as well as her new toy an '07 Volkwagen New Beetle Convertible (Sunflower Yellow)!!

I think if we created our own sub-site like the Singaporean and those in Hong Kong we may get more local Aussie content on the site!!!

How long have you been in CA and how long do you intend to stay?

I spent 2 years in Asia (Sinagpore) and 3 1/2 in Europe (Amsterdam) between 1999 and 2005. I know how you feel - absence makes the heart grow fonder! Hope you still have some property here as the market just keeps on keeping on!

Been in the US 6 years. My wife and I had intened to stay at least 10 years but it's going to be hard now since our children are pretty attached to their cousins here in the US. Don' tlike the idea of bringing up teenagers here though so we may move back when they start high school. I haven't got any property in melbourne but we have a house here in Orange county which has appreciated about 225% since we bought it so if we do move back home we should be okay. Where in Melbourne are you from?

Bayside - Brighton East.

I assume your wife is American given the cousins are over there too!

Scooter,

Yes my wife is American and one of six children, so there are 14 cousins all together.
I am originally from the eastern suburbs, East Doncaster. Also lived in North Carlton when my wife and I got married before moving back to the US.

I am glad to see so many Melbourne boys on this forum, lets keep it going.
