Well I asked today. They cant get the glass... the Glass arnt out yet and they can not legally order Europe parts to the US, not DOT certified... He can get the housing but no glass yet. he said to wait till the real M5 comes out then it'll be a lot easier and might be even cheaper... as of now its EXPENSIVE! Primed... with 1 Euro glass $1100 and thats "discount" 
We might have to contact Alex.br's seller!!!
They said BMW will not usually import painted parts... just like the M-Tech Kit... they wont sell painted parts to the US... on primed... WHY NOT!!!!?!!?!?!

I'll try to go ask the pricing tomorrow... From the information I've gathered if you want to match the US convention of flat glass on the drivers side and convex glass on the passengers side you can't do it just yet. Might have to wait till sept when the M5 arrives here in the states. as for the passenger There are two convex ones right not. one that says "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" but written in aribic or some sort... most of us dont want that... the other one is the plain convex mirror w/out any writing... I think I like that one over the DOT standard US writing...
and as for the drivers side right now... since we dont have a flat one there is the European split wide version... where the outter edge is like wide angle... "better than those people sticking the stick on convex smaller mirror on the corner of their mirror" Other wise we can wait til they release the conventional flat one for the drivers side.
I'll ask either way tomorrow or Tues and keep everyone posted.

[/quote]KNow how they do it? they by pass BMW... they have a source in Europe, like have someone buy it and just ship it to them in a box. BMW, customs, etc dont know what it is... actaully customs wont care... but if you're trying to go through BMW USA and they know they wont let you.

Ok I got a resposne from Alex.br's source... the mirror he's going to provide is a wide angle glass...
Alex how does that look compared to the stock OEM? can you try to describe that as best you can?
Here's his response.
The glass I provided for Alex and what is also the
standard accompanying mirror pair I send with the M5 mirrors is the Heated
Wide Angle Glass (Part #'s: 51 16 7 897 547 and 51 16 7 897 548) They're
appropriate for LHD cars. My standard price on a primed pair of these is
$1199.95 and painted version is $1499.95 per pair. The kits include each
mirror assembly and each glass insert.
If you're looking for the primed kits, I can offer you each set for $1089
including insured shipping.
If you're looking for the factory painted kits (VIN's required), I can offer
you each set for $1335 including insured shipping.
