That is awesome! I just got an 08 550i a few weeks ago and I would really like to swap my shifter too.
Is there any difference in doing this in the US?

why would this not work on a pre LCI car?
surely if you chainged the console parts it would fit?
there was not many changes between LCI and pre LCI
this must be do-able?

Hi all.
I've been looking into getting the parts for a SAT retrofit. I gave my BMW dealer the following part numbers from the DIY guide:
I didn't realise this (although the forums did mention) that some of these part numbers are LHD/RHD dependent. ECU and Sports button is the same but the Console cover and SAT shifter numbers above are for LHD only.
RHD variants are (only last 3 digits change):
In addition, the Console cover comes in 3 variants:
The ECU part number has now been superseded by another part number which is: 61319189640.
Following pictures show screen shots of the parts software from the BMW dealer:
Hope this clarifies the situation for anyone else who is wondering. Grateful to anyone who can confirm the above.
Thanks

Anyone got experience with the lined black leather console cover? I'm tempted to go for this one as it should match the black leather interior. Comments/suggestions?

I'm keen on doing this modification to my 11/07 535d; does anyone have experience also retrofitting the steerwing wheel buttons? I have the Mkit steering wheel.
