Now that i have a little time to spare i refitted the 5W LED's (i removed them after they throw iDrive errors) and coded LMA not to do the warm and coldcheck and the error is gonne.

Still have the issue that the HID's blink 3 times when i turn them on with the engine running, although i've coded LMA not to do the check.
No blinking when i set the lightswitch on auto nor when i switch the lights on (or set the switch to auto) before starting the car.

If i add $522 (Xenon) to the VO and code the car, the blinking is gonne.
But now the car thinks it has autoleveling, disabling the manual leveling switch in the car and starts to point the lights at random heights when i turn them on.

Mine don't blink, i just sat 45 min. staring at the car (i cant seem to get enough).
It's like everyone has his own faults and iDrive errors. It's starts to freak me out...

I have ventilated the housings with holes and painted the chrome with matt black paint. The lights still have the blinking problem after being on for a while, so I took the bulb cover off and felt around the bulb - they barely even feel warm? (it sounds safe to rule out the heat issue)

I have since turned off the cold & warm bulb checks but I haven't had chance to check for the blinking again yet...

Strange... will have to think about this one a little more then. I am surprised that a 3W LED is barely warm though.

Sas: I don't have problem with mine

I only felt around the 'extra' bit of housing as I couldn't get my fingers to the led itself, so I expect this part was probably warm. I was just expecting the housing to be very hot if it was still trapping heat.

...I've had many occasions to check if they are still blinking after driving, but I keep forgetting lol.

I can confirm that even with the parking light bulb checks off, I still have the blinking leds after a short drive!
It's getting quite boring now. I wonder if the resistor is causing the problem??

I might try removing the resistor completely first as I haven't tried the leds without them yet. I know coding didn't stop the errors with my halogen bulbs, but if it worked on the leds for Sas, maybe it will work for me too. (although I remember Sas had no errors with his halogens to begin with)
...failing that, I could incorporate a relay - mentioned earlier in this thread.

When you add $522 to the VO, did this also stop the errors from the led bulbs - or did you still have to disable bulb checks?

I disabled the bulb checks, otherwise it throws errors for the LED's.

So I just want to chime in and add this. I recently made a conversion cable for Justin (jg525i) and I did the same thing as I had done before and soldered wire 4 and 5 together for the angel eyes. As expected, the cable works flawlessly with stock AE bulb, and no error.

Those that have error should probably just check their wiring.
