I'm a newbie owner, 04 545i, 1/04 build date. I went to the dealer today to discuss their ipod solutions. Here's what they gave me:

Aux input - BM65-12-0-153-502
$250 Labor
$76 Parts
$25 Misc
$5 Tax
$357 total - Lose changer and no control via iDrive. Includes car software upgrade
Take additional 10% off for CCA members

iPod Interface Adapter w/o harness - BM65-11-0-036-448
$250 Labor
$309 Parts
$25 Misc
$21 Tax
$606 total - Lose changer but control via iDrive albeit through playlists and changer selections. Includes car software upgrade.
Take additional 10% off for CCA members

This is good info, but I'm still looking for other options...

Time to change your dealer for someone better. Why would you loose your CDC with the AUX? Also how on earth is the time to install the AUX and iPOD connection the same labour.

Any add another option to your list. Its not something BMW will tell you but its called the Dension, you get control via the iDrive and you dont loose your CDC.
