Hi all,
I got a Dension Gateway 500s BT and have installed in in my 2006 E60. The Gateway turns on and puts out a Bluetooth signal that I can connect to but when I click on CD on the iDrive it just says that no source is recognized (or something along that line). My car had a CD changer. I also tried switching between the two DIP settings for the E60. Has anybody run into this problem?

For the E60, dip 1, 5 and 6 must be up. Dip 6 is for enabling BT. If your car has BT from factory and it is working already, better leaving dip 6 down.
I hope this helps

No, I can click on the top menu CD but I can't see CD1, CD2, etc. The only thing that shows is a message that says "no supported or readable media found in either internal drive". The CD changer came with the car and worked just fine. Do you think that I need coding to play MP3s?

Personally I always add IPOD function and disable the cd changer option
Regardless since you have the cd changer option, cd1, cd2 etc should show even if the cd changer is disconnected.
Sounds to me like you have lost the option somehow
Did you use the coding dongle from Dension or did anyone tried to code your car for dension?
Coding for mask and ccc is the same

Nevermind the mp3 function, it does not need to be coded to get this to work.
If you do not see cd1, cd2 etc, the this is a coding problem
