My Ride: BMW E60 M5
Model Year: 2010
Engine: S85
When I first got my car, it was first serviced by the dealer. After the warranty ran out I started taking it to a reputable independent. Now the crazy part. He pulled up the full history of the car even from different dealerships. He was able to see all the notes on each service.

The only thing I know is that although his shop has been around for years, he used to be a lead BMW mechanic in one of the local dealerships. Maybe they never took away his access? I don't know. You would think that would be unlikely.
