I actually think that would work. Its essentially the part I have been meaning to build but now I wont ;-) If people would like I could buy one of these and experiment with it. I anyway need to probably sell my M5 mirrors anyway and will sell it with this attachment. I have another idea of getting this to work on our cars, integrate this product with a CAN BUS interface.
I'm probably going to order it.

But I'm not sure how i can even wire this up... Also will the OEM folding button work to turn this on and off?

I think key to success here is understanding how the triggers work. The positive one should read as unfolding trigger. The neg one should read as the folding one.

The trick is to pick your signal carefully. My second thoughts are the vehicle alarm on off for the fold and unfold. I guess you could get an earth signal from the oem fold button but to use both interior button AND alarm (remote) signal will require more thought. But my interpretation could be wrong of course!

You are not going to easily be able to use the OEM fold button here. The OEM button is built into the PCB and unless you are planning on hack the entire button to gain access to the contacts its not going to work. Also on our cars the OEM button does not connect to Ground like in the older cars, it actually just generates an ID on the LIN BUS. The OEM switch panel only have a 4 way connector on it. So if you were thinking of hacking the button you'd need to hack the enclosure as well to get the wires out.

I happen to have an OEM switch panel with me in case anyone would like to know what they would be getting into here.

Thanks Bruce. I'm also curious to know what the ign on feed is telling it? Maybe that suppresssed folding if you have vehicle set to auto lock as you drive away? Maybe it supressed the cycling (button) function with the ign off? What happens on a factory car if you lock the doors with the engine running from the dash switch re the mirrors? I guess nothing. Anyway the only way to be sure is to hear from somebody who has got and played with the unit I suppose.

I found someone local who is selling the Innoparts module. Will pick it up this evening and start playing with it. I also have a CAN BUS interface that I think will be useful for this project. And as mentioned I have the OEM switch panel as well.

Damn! if only my M5 mirrors could go on my car I would have been set.

definitely let me know what's up once you figure it out. If anything, can I but the innoparts from you once its figured out? or is it only one item, and its not an innoparts store?

The unit being sold on eBay is actually listed more expensive that the company sell it itself. So why not buy directly from the company.

Because when i tried to buy from the company, shipping is just the same price as the ITEM!!! LOL

so its like 20 USD's cheaper than buying it from the company.

I believe its 41 Eur for the item and 41 EUR for shipping. WTH right? Anyway, if you can get it for cheaper, I'll pay you and if u can configure it with OEM button, i definitely would want to get it from you.
