Would it not be cheaper for some brits to maybe do a group buy on the decoder unit and do a bunch of mods together ??

* Assuming the decoders we see on Ebay and on these forums are capable of such in depth jobs ???

lol jags if i remeber correctly you dint evenknow where the screws were i showed you what to do while you did it, the teacher training the pupil lol! but having takin that CCC out etc etc so many times we can do it with our eyes closed, what you did do was the idrive so i give you the credit fo rthat lol

buyin the equipment isnt theprobelm you need to also subscribe to it so that you canhave the latest updates etc etc, also if you already have business nav you dont always need to code the car, if you dont have nav then yes you have to program the car to tell it that it now has navi

I anyone's interested I have two nav retrofit kits, one for a 2007 6 series and one from a 2005 M5. I have been told I may have problems retrofitting the the 2007 kit as mine is a 2003 E60 hence could sell this and we could get the coding done from the same guy for a better deal???

dav

if you already hve navi you wont need to code the car it should work (i assume you have the idrives to). If th ecar still goes into a dealer or you need software updates then yes you may need to code it as the BMW machine wont recognise the CCC and will stop, however my indy bypass that and his system lets you carry on, your call really..id save the money on coding and do another mod lol and have proff nav :-)
