No...Everything is fine...But i've been told that blinkers were going too fast, so a small bulb was wired up on both sides and was hidden inside the covers (tricking the system or module or something...) Nick, i'm very eager to post pictures here, can you tell me how to? pictures actually express things better than words...

When you reply, or edit a post, click on Browse button, then go to the folder where pictures are stored in your PC, click on a picture, then click Open and then click on UPLOAD button. Each picture you upload is temporary placed in the "Manage Current Attachments" drop down list (above Browse/UPLOAD buttons). Once you have upload all of them (one picture each time), open the "Manage Current Attachments" drop down list and click on the uploaded pictures, so they will be added, one by one, into the text page.

Exclamation

Nick, i've tried doing that a couple of times, but in doesn't seem to work, everytime i attach files, the 'manage attachment list' quotes 'there are no attachments (0)'...anyhow, i'm giving all you guys out there a link to sendspace, here it is...
http://www.sendspace.com/file/a0q9ag
i hope these pictures will help u guys, i only opened the left side of the cover of my car...i remember the shop wiring up a small bulb on the right side of the lights, most probably for resistance or someting to correct the turn signals fast blinking issue... The problem is, it's a bit difficult to take off since i have a dvd changer hooked on top of the cover on that side.

p.s. : the .mov file seem to make the lamps look like it's blinking, but actually they're not...they work like a charm...good luck!

Nick, you beat me to it, I was almost done posting the pics and I noticed that you had already done it.

So bmw_wpq31........what is up with the one wire that has all but a couple of copper strands cut. It looks like you should have that one fixed.

It looks like the first and fifth pics are of the E60's wiring harness connector and the side of the adapter that plugs into it (single row 6 position), and the second through fourth pics are the other end of the adapter that plugs into the LCI tail lights (double row 8 position connector with only 7 positions used).

I think the technician which did the job, is afraid of hyperloading or something?

Sorry for the late reply...It was actually nicely wraped with wire tapes, you know, the black ones that workshops use, i actually opened it up so that it'll show what is actually done...if you notice, there are still marks of the adhesive on the wire that i've opened up, and fyi i'm still working on it...(i'm sealing it all back with 'loytape' now...) anyway, thanks for the info on the wires, i think nick is right, the guy that did the wiring must have purposely made the wires to connect like that...

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. If that wire is not necessary then don't connect it at all....if it IS necessary then that is a very sloppy job and if there is ever more than the slightest load on that wire it would burn the strands of copper like a fuse. Not to mention that it could touch something else and create a short. The brown wire next to it also has a nicked insulation..........looks like a soldering iron has melted the insulation and exposed some of the copper. If the exposed copper on the blue wire was to touch the exposed section of the brown one then there would be a short.

bmw_wpq31.....you should definitely have that fixed, and also check the right tail light to make sure there aren't any similar problems there.
