xxterxx's PM box must be overflowing now...

If you don't do it yourself you can often think that things are plug and play, experts do make jobs look easier than they actually are.

Why doesn't anyone who has one of these sets contribute to the discussion that is currently going on to trace the pinouts of the bulbs.

What we will need is an LCI car owner to read the part numbers printed on the plug housing.
Need someone with the set to test each connection. My analysis of the photos can't be too far off.

maybe it was a typo, "plug and pray"

so far, only couple people have the sets. next week many will receive the tail lights.
definitely, we need to to compare the pinout wires and test what pins light up what sections.

That might have been true if we were able to PLUG in the first place...

Because I think the plug is going to be the hardest thing to find in this experiment it should be renamed as "PRAY for PLUG"

Cool

Hey guys!!! Guess what, i've installed my tail lights... It's a success!!! ... what xxterxx said about the lights being plug & play was bull shit (i think by now everybody knows) but what he said about the blinking was true...i did't try to install the lights myself because i definately can't do it, so went to a local bmw specialist to install it...bought the e46 retrofit cable to do it...the turn signals will blink fast, so an extra bulb was wired, and everything works like a charm...i'm a happy man!!!

The e46 retrofit cable has to be rewired or relocated accordingly to the correct pins... i don't know electronics/wiring but what i can do is i'll post pictures on how it was installed, at least the colours of the cable should help...can anybody here tell me how to post pictures? i'm new to this...i've tried to upload pictures via attachments but it won't work...
