What up fellas? Great thread here.
Sorry to have entered it so late.
I have had my AFE intake for a Full Year on my 08 550i. I have spoke with Joe(Vegas Trashed)and he told me weeks ago to go back to my Stock Air Box. I also purchased and had the AFE product installed at D2 Technik in Alhambra.
What do I need to do to get a refund for the product?
Upon having my Stock Air Box re-installed, what Filter should I use to maximize my set up. (Custom Quad Exhaust and Re-Map)
What's up Eloy? How are you bro? Are you closer to getting your scoops to maximize the performance of the 550i?
Thanks to any and all for instructions.

Were the same vehicles with the exact same mods? Was that on a dyno or drag racing? The point im trying to make is everyone is lining for a refund for what I think is based on erroneous data.
This isnt hard to figure out if you think about it. Set a baseline, then run tests and compare the baseline with the test results. All I see is pics of dynos, the same m5 graph floating around and people badmouthing a manufacturer after they purchased the product under their own power.
I know noone at AFE or RPI, I own neither product. Everyone, get your OWN damn car dyno'd as it is right now and save the results. Next time you throw money at your car, take it the same dyno after you ad the mod and see for yourself. Then take responsibilty if you've bought the wrong part and find another product that works for you.

I totally agreed with you that people should do pre/post dyno on the product, but that depends on individual justification. Worth or not? Only you to be a judge.

Where the hell have you been Jay?? Why don't you go to RPI and dyno your car with the AFE and with the stock box since you're going to replace it anyway? It'll give us more data for this discussion.

+ 2.5 for SLO.
MAJOR DATA UPDATE to this THREAD~
I just removed the AFE Intake and replaced with BMW Stock Air Box and added a K&N Charcoal Filter. I have only driven thru Alhambra-San Marino and Pasadena for about an hour but my assertions are such:
HOLY FUKK*N SH*T I WAS SCAMMED!
My "BUT DYNO" is off the chart in 1st and 2nd Gear in M-Mode. Massive difference in torque. I had always suspected my torque loss was due to the Quad Exhaust but now I realize I was "hypnotized" by the sound of the AFE's roar and unable to tell the loss of low end pull/Torque.
Guys...I shite you not....it feels like a different car.
If any of you still have the AFE intake installed, take it off Pronto.
If RPI can help me even more, let me know. But dayum.....

I'm glad you took my advice. Trust me, RPI will soon have the scoop available for the 550i that will guarantee power. The same applies for the 545i. Just wait. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

V2 for the 550i is still in development. V1 is what everyone has currently. Still waiting for a 545i to come in for V2.
