I sent an email to AFE expressing our concerns and here is their response:

I will be formulating a response and commenting on the thread in the

What confuses and concerns me is that I continue to see tests and reviews done by European Car Magazine where they have shown gains from the AFE system on every car they've installed it on. The latest issue has dyno charts for a 135 where they showed 7hp gains.

Is European Car using the same technique as AFE in their testing (i.e. hood open) which means they're both doing it wrong and not showing real world conditions? Maybe Eloy can write a note to EC and challenge their method since it's potentially giving false data to the greater car enthusiast community.

Actually, I didn't look closely. Just assumed a claim was made on the box
If I'm incorrect, my apologies to AFE.
But, I believe a claim was made on site AFEPOWER.com. "They tested it on the 650 and it gained 10whp and 12lbs of torque." If this site is not related to AFE, I apologize again.

Next time I'll keep my 2c and $350 in my pocket.
So now you are out $350.02??? Will the cost of these AFE intakes ever stop??? It's terrible to throw good money after bad!!

Any legit company would respond back with a proper answer, or atleast come out of the box and say hey we are sorry we messed up, we will issue refunds. Now these idiots have made it worse, and still want to prove that their product is the shit. Great!

Next time look at the box closer...

On the box is a line and bar graph indicating gains in hp, torque, and airflow vs. stock.
No disclaimer on testing conditions.
