The LCI A/C panel might work without any coding or programming after you modify the way it is connected. It depends on the software version of your panel. There is no problem to code it and if it still needs to be programmed we can arrange that too.
Just make the changes benhur65 suggested and let me know how it goes.
Thanks Patryk. I'll get to it this weekend and post my results.

... remember to transfer the MOST harness (two fiber optics cables in a connector socket) to the PnP harness; it just unplugs from the OEM Quadralock and plugs right into the new Quadralock harness in the same slot.

Nelson, parts are coming in. This is great news!! Those harnesses look awesome. I can't wait to get this install started. I'm gonna start a new thread today so we don't take too much away from your CIC Log thread.

Technic,
Thanks a million for the great work you've done with the cables to allow for seamless integration of my new sound system. Everything looks professionally made. You da man!

Hey Nelson,
I've added a new thread to the forums for my sound upgrades. We can start to post info their on this topic if you wish.

https://5series.net/forums/topic/103...4#entry1237384

With regards to the Climate Control; I've been talking with Patryk and in the event that we do need some more firmware mods on the CIC once I install this I'll wait until you can send me back the OBDC cable for programming. I'd rather not upgrade the stock wire harness for the LCI Climate control only to find out I need to program also. Then I'll have to revert back to the old Climate Control until you send the OBDC cable back.

So, no worries at all! Take your time with the cable, get all your programming done, then once I have it back I'll complete the Climate Control Mod. (You may also want to do the Climate Control Mod before you send me back the OBDC cable just in case you need programming too).

There is some very good news I want to share with you

The new iDrive controller installed without the need to change the center console trim. How does it sound to you?

Patryk, that is awesome news and the pic looks great. It seems that we may be missing the trim around the controller which is probably masking the cavity that is cut to accommodate the assembly. Looks like the car is a standard E60 and not M5. Would you mind sharing which member did this and maybe point him towards this thread so he can provide info on how he cut the hole etc and whether or not he created the trim piece himself or was able to order from BMW directly?

Thanks for the update!
