Its strange, but I have seen it on cars before where you only hear it at low speed if its just just touching something
Ofcourse its hard to tell without actually hearing it, and it could be other things
But removing the spacers is just such a easy thing to test

Did a 50km run this morning.
Interestingly the hum sometimes disappears with a change in road surface.
i.e. at 130km/hr on one road there is a hum, but at the same speed on a different road at the same speed...
No hum!?!

Overhere the asphalt is made with really hard stone material, and that makes my car humm almost all the time.
We have some roads made of "silent asphalt" and riding on those fees like silk.
Your car seems to be quite a looker, do you have any pics to provide?
I'm also really curious about spacers, they make the wheel come "out" but how about the driving experience?
What other problems could it cause?

There are lots of pics in my gallery, but I will only add pics with the new wheels & tyres on Monday.
The spacers l have are 15mm on the rear and really enhance the look of the car. When you look at the side of my car from a the front or rear, the rear wheels look flush with the side of the car. Not recessed as with the factory set up, and not sticking out which can happen with spacers which are too wide (but that is a personal opinion & preference). If you look in the mods section & search for "15mm spacers" you will find some good detailed threads.

Well I am not sure if I am wishing the humming sound away, or if it is really happening?
On the way home from golf today it really does seem to be quietening down.
I also took the car back to the shop this morning so the guys could jack it up & check for signs of rubbing & there is definitely none.
I will do another couple 100km's & keep checking the sound.
Out of interest,
does anyone know whether the parts adjusted during wheel alignment need to be loosened - adjusted - & then re-tightened? Or is it just turning a part one way or the other as an adjustment?
The reason I ask, is I wonder if whilst they seem to have got the alignment right (according to the report) they may have not re-tightened something?
(excuse my ignorance on this issue)

I hope you only let your dealer so the alignment.
They are the only ones that can do a proper job, especially with M Sports suspension

With or without the spacers the hum is there, but it is decreasing. On a good smooth road there is absolutely no noise at all.
In any case, I am going back for an alignment check tomorrow as the alignment last week was done with the spacers on. I think this may have caused some problems during alignment. So I have removed the spacers & am very interested to see the report tomorrow.

I had the front alignment adjusted today and the hum is 90% gone.
I am extatic. With the noise gone & my mind at ease I can now REALLY enjoy these tyres.
Even my rear parcel shelf rattle (still to be fixed by dealer) occurs 80% less frequently.
These tyres are MUCH more comfortable than the 18" runflats.
