I think it is very close. I cannot believe that it was still running. That is the power of BMW...

Wow. I am sorry to hear/see that! It does look like a simple fix howeever from te pictures. No way does it look totalled but totalling it wouldnt be bad. I mean, u can get an upgrade to a more powerful car. Be optimistic. It looks like a possible rebar, hood, headlights, bumper, grills, and some paint. it didnt even get to ur fender and ur radiator and cooler is in tact right?

Damn, Im really sorry you had to see and experience your baby going through such a wreck, but glad you made it out unscathed. This may or may not be a blessing in disguise. If it is totaled do you plan on getting another e60? I was just admiring your Orion's the other day too.

+1.

If the worst thing that ever happens to you is the loss of a machine, you are far luckier than most.

Ouch! I feel your pain! Is your steering damaged at all? If it is - it is totaled. Some idiot side-T-boned my baby and rear suspension was messed up. Even though the damaged did not look bad, all those parts are aluminum & BMW wanted to replace with new OEM parts and it was too much for insurance company.

I am glad you are ok! Did the "BMW speaker lady" asked you if you were ok?

Good luck!

Accidents happen - even to the most careful and attentive drivers. Looks like the damage to your car is "high" and probably didn't affect frame or significant structures. And you didn't mention anything about your airbags being deployed - another indication that the damage, though it looks bad, may not be sufficient to warrant a "total".

That said, cars can be replaced - trust there were no personal injuries in this case.

Good luck working out the details!
