damn sorry to hear... hopefully you don't have to pay to repair both cars... I think you only cover half of the damage to the car that was hit by the guy you rear ended, and he pays the other half - something about him having to keep enough distance for exactly these circumstances. but judging from the look of the impact and damage to your car, you were going fast enough for the safe distance rule not to matter anymore.

sorry man, gl

I truly feel your pain, especially after looking in your sig to see all you've put into her. Just be glad it wasn't worse...you could have been seriously injured or worse in a wreck that bad.

Yes he will be responsible for all of his own car plus the rear end damage to the car he hit. The car that was hit is responsible for his front end damage and the car he hits rear.

I was this middle person when hit and its a crappy deal since some guy hits me and I am stopped and it jolts my car into one stopped in front of me at a redlight--i mean how much space do you leave between cars at a redlight right.. that rule makes no sense being stpped but that is how it goes

If this is really the worst day of your life, life must be pretty good and life really isn't bad at all. Look at it this way, worst things can, will, and has happen to the rest of us..

anyhow good luck with everything.

Wow, sorry to hear about the car bro. It is a terrible feeling when you step out and look at the damage. But, at least you can look at it you know.

I agree, this probably isn't the best time but I'd like to call dibs right here on the LCI tails and the wheels if it's a write off and he chooses not to keep them.

Is this correct?

About three years ago, I was in a minor accident, and I was the car in the front in a three car collision. I don't believe my insurance collected from the lady that hit me, but the person that hit the car behind me.
