I finally installed the cable today, and let me say WOW, what a difference. You just cannot go wrong with it. I already have the BMS Powerbox installed but after this sport mod this car is a whole different beast. Especially, I just the way steering feels. Only negative is that no "sport" image on the cluster unlike pre-LCI guys. If someone knows how to bring it up on the cluster for us LCI folks please do share. Till next time.....

Part 2..
Then I simply inserted the 2 pins I made up into 7&9 (I will attach part numbers at the end, all parts from Maplins in the UK).
Attachment 141124
Then put the housing back on, plug the White box back in and put it back where it belongs, I then run the other end of the cables up to the left and out by the passenger air Bag (you need to remove the length of trim that runs across the front of the dash, instruction in one of the attached videos earlier, its easy, just need to jimmy it a bit).
Attachment 141125
Attachment 141126
Then I run the cable across the car and through the centre console unit, again instructions to remove this are in the previous videos, its only a couple of screws. I then worked the cable to where the steering when adjuster is and left plenty of cable as I'm not sure where I am going to place the push switch yet.
Attachment 141127
Attachment 141128
As I said in my previous post, I may purchase a switch with an LED, or even the original parts for the gear shifter, but for now it works perfectly just no 'sport' light on the dash.
I will post pictures of the parts I used in the next post, they are all available from Maplins cheap enough (less than £5 for the lot).
Get out there and do the mod, you wont regret it.....

Can I ask why is your "process" different" compare to the one shown on the YOutube Clip?
Thanks...

ok well cockers beat me to it yes this works on lci i have done it on a e60 520d manual, no sport light up on dash but you can feel the difference in the steering straight away and on country roads so much more feel of the road the throttle response feels crisper too that little bit more responsive. just need to code the sport icon on dash now.

By the way, I found this screen shot from a Taiwanese site. It comes from a BMW Training Course that explains the Driving Dynamics Control (FDC) option:
