Hi,
Very interested in doing this - does the BMW switch come with the required wires with the correct pin connectors?
If not where have people been sourcing the wires and connector pins from?
Thanks
James

Huge thanks to Cockers for figuring this out on the LCI cars. Anyone have any suggestions for a US source for the PCB pins, switch, and wiring?
Also, is the switch momentary or static?

Have you read thru the thread ... in detail ... carefully ...? ![Think](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/think.gif)
The 1st post by the OP stated his car is '07 manual.
You have to make the cable ... the p/n for the short wires socket available in pieces from the dealer also described in this thread.

Refer to my previous post (#385) here -> https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...9/#post1501626
Part listed are for pre-LCI auto & available (or at least you can order) at any local BMW dealer(s) so you have to find the LCI specific parts at realoem.com.
The switch is momentary.

fitted it today "sport" now available ,so from the previous 44 pages
yes it works on auto and manual but is more noticable on the auto
on the manual steering feels a little diffrent acelerator seems more responsive but doesnt make the car any quicker,
i mounted the switch above dsc in the part with the rubber tray right at the back so its "hidden" too ,easy mod took 10 mins after watching roskinc's vid now if only there was a hidden "M" button lol

I got another question on this mod... Can I switch it on and/or off when the car is moving? Seems like Roskin did the demo when the car is not moving....
