I owned a 996 before my E60, and of course a Porsche is just more fun overall. But using it for a 45-minute commute takes some fun out of it. A real sports suspension is not funny at 7 a.m. on a bad city street, and You might miss a lot of the comfort gadgets from Your E60, depending on the optional equipment of the P-car. My advice: go for the Porsche, take the 550 to go to work with Your mind at ease, and play the 911 at weekends.
