Why don't you look for the 997 instead? I prefer the new styling compared to the 996s..

or maybe 996tt ? You can get it for less than 60k USD now..

I owned a 996 before my E60, and of course a Porsche is just more fun overall. But using it for a 45-minute commute takes some fun out of it. A real sports suspension is not funny at 7 a.m. on a bad city street, and You might miss a lot of the comfort gadgets from Your E60, depending on the optional equipment of the P-car. My advice: go for the Porsche, take the 550 to go to work with Your mind at ease, and play the 911 at weekends.

ya he right sport and supercars are only for weekends not for work.
