for me I had removed my center console, unplugged the seats and removedthe door panels, so I dont know exactly waht triggered it. Go figure!!!!

I know this may be stupid but did you disconnect the battery before you started to do this work. When I was working at a body shop back in the day we were taught to always disconnect the battery when working on the car. We had a guy pop an airbag because he forgot to disconnect the battery during a tear down.

I didn't even think that I needed to d/c the battery...I was just lifting up the center console and tucking the wire in and screwing it back up...now I know that these cars are so damn sensitive...I'll make sure to keep that in mind the next time I do something....like installing the ipod interface.
