Huh what SOS warning? Mine never warned me. I never renewed it.
If you get a warning I think theres a fault in the SOS system.

My Ride: My 1st was an '06 530xi, Titanium Silver w/ gray dakota leather, sport pkg. & Nav.
Now my 2nd is an '08 650i CP, Space Gray, Blk Dakota, Sprt. Auto, HUD, Sprt. Pkg., Prem. Sound, High Beam Ast. & Comfort Access
Same here, I did not renew mine and I am not getting any message. Try using it and if an operator comes on maybe they can deactivate it for you.

Dealers..... I didn't renew either - no error. Print out this thread and let them know their mistake.
It amazes me that BMW continues to sell cars with their terrible dealer network. I have given "ones" more times than I can remember and will never buy another BMW (new at least) again.

Thats a LIE!
I'm betting that your TCU module or whatever module that controls the out going calls to BMW assist has malfunctioned.
