Is there something more to the first service than an oil and filter change? I was just wondering if I can do it myself since I have to pay for oil changes as they are not included here in Germany.

Gentlemen, it is just oil. Why not take it to Jiffy Lube? They'll charge an extra $25 for Synthetic which should put you at less than $50. What is the big deal?

They should add 20% for mentioning RF. Now that I know they support that board, I will never go there.

Don't know the particulars but I sure hope so. I would assume there is some sort of more comprehensive check over various things such as brakes, transmission and other fluids, in my case (17" tires all around) rotate tires if needed. I would expect the first service would be $200-$300 US (vs. $80 for oil change) for this "look over" of all major car systems.

Just to clear up some confusion, some of us need their meter reset for our cars have 75,000 miles and the maintenance contract is no longer valid. From 60,000 to 75,000 miles was our 15,000 mile interval, thus we need the oil changed and meter reset. Granted the meter I believe is mostly used to remind us of the next service, but it is nice to have reset after 15,000 as was always recommended by the factory (perhaps other items/issues are done with the reset too??)
