i think the point people are getting at is that this is a huge and costly undertaking and the result isnt worth the effort. but if you need to know what kind of light bulb you need for your cigarette lighter, you know where to find us
Exactly as Craig says, I dont dislike the idea of engine changes/conversions, but given the cost and time it seems pretty pointless, espcially when E60 prices are getting so low, M5's are even affordable by the mere mortal these days

.......knock yourself out if your wallet and schedule can keep up

Good Luck

People from different place have different value for doing things.... I do respect and feel both ways are good, practical and CUTE.... thinking of the old joke....in 1970s...

When doing space and rocket stuff....
American: spend 250K to invent a pen which can write without gravity.
Russia: Use a $0.10 pencil and works as well.

When doing programming stuff,
American: use a lot of libs, heavy tools for some simple program.....
European: will try to use most efficient way to do things....maybe longer time to develop but runs at less HW requirement and more stable.

Both ways are cute and I do accept both ways....

Thanks, has laughed.
Reading your forum I has understood that for you maximum improvement is replacement of bulbs, carpets in interior and other.
I do not wish to be engaged in useless things. I have my car which I know. All its details and illnesses.
Why if I have a car the donor - I cannot change the engine? Whether my question consisted in that the new engine on fixing bores in a body, to be exact a longeron will approach.
P.S.
I don't wish offend anybody,IMHO

Im sure you can. Engine bay looks really similiar.....but im not completely sure... i have seen people change M54...2.2 to M54 3.0 which is very easy....since its the same engine block.........i dunt know but i bet russia has very expensive cars? cause in Thailand M54 3.0 and M54 2.2 can have a massive price difference so....its quite common.........i reconmmend you try asking a BMW tech?.....or sell the N52 and get a larger M54 which will def work...gd luck
