Hi 2 all & Greetings from Russia
I've 2003 520i with 2.2L M54 & manual gearshift .
Now in my garage is engine 3.0 N52n and automatic gearbox GA6HP19Z with all ECU , wiring & other important parts from 2007 525i LCI.
Can i change my engine with it?

yes, with some time and effort and a large wallet, why bother tho ? why not just buy another car with the bigger engine you desire ?

From where did you buy the engine and the gearbox?

What number is the engine?

Or buy an M5 / alternative in the first place, they are hardly expensive anymore............if your gonna convert the engine why in gods name convert it to something which already is availible to buy off the shelf with no problems already................

Thanks, has laughed.
Reading your forum I has understood that for you maximum improvement is replacement of bulbs, carpets in interior and other.
I do not wish to be engaged in useless things. I have my car which I know. All its details and illnesses.
Why if I have a car the donor - I cannot change the engine? Whether my question consisted in that the new engine on fixing bores in a body, to be exact a longeron will approach.
P.S.
I don't wish offend anybody,IMHO

i think the point people are getting at is that this is a huge and costly undertaking and the result isnt worth the effort. but if you need to know what kind of light bulb you need for your cigarette lighter, you know where to find us
