Anyone getting a raspy sound coming from the center speaker on the dash? Only seems to happen while listening to Am talk radio and not all the time. L7 system 2005 545.

 

It is most likely the Logic 7 processor creating distortion.

The Logic 7 System uses processing to direct certain sound frequencies to certain speakers... (ie voice range sounds to the center channel)

In doing so, there is some distortion created.

You are most likely hearing the ill-effects of processed audio.

There is also a slight chance you have a damaged speaker.... but I think the first explanation is more likely.

Also.... don't forget that AM radio sound quality is absolute crap.
