I haven't driven a 535d as the dealer does not have a demo car available. I'm going purely on the published performance stats compared to the 530d. You can never have too much power!

I've had my 530d since October 03. I'd go for sapphire black again but they don't offer it on the sport model. Carbon black isn't for me as it looks too much like dark navy blue IMHO and I don't like dark blues. Each to their own on colour choices. I would have considered either Bluewater or Le Mans blue but these add a further ?2,025 to the price as they are special order Individual colours. Having spent ?2,250 on Individual Eq2 leather and trim I just cannot justify throwing more money away on a car I won't keep longer than 2 years.
After seeing Flowerfred's car I'm sold on silver. It looks fantastic with the privacy glass and high gloss shadowline and shows up the M sport bodykit to best advantage I think. I've seen a silver 535d M sport at a dealer and thought it looked superb.
