The interior trim that you have is not brushed aluminum. It's called Titan, it is trim that has been painted silver, but not brushed. I would have been happy with the Titan interior when I got my car, but unfortunately in the US all 525's and 530's with premium package and all 545's came with wood (Poplar or Anthracite)......so I chose Anthracite. Later on I swapped my Anthracite wood trim with ALU Shadow brushed aluminum and I agree that the Titan and brushed aluminum both look better than the wood. That brown interior is sweet looking

The alum trim around the m5 shifter always looked cheap to me it looks like plastic

I actually like the auburn interior but couldnt find a cpo with one and ended up with a black interior which I like as well..

The panel around the shifter IS painted plastic.....and I agree, it does look and feel cheap compared to the brushed (real) aluminum.
