What year is your car?. Do you have upgraded audio?. I have been looking for RDS on my car since seeing it mentioned in the manual, but either my car doesn't have RDS or I don't know what I am looking for.

An item I stumbled across while reading the manual (yeah, I'm that crazy) that hasn't been brought up yet...

If you shut off the engine and then spin the fan speed adjustment knob, it will kick on the fan for a while after the car is shut off. This is much like the after run fan setting found under the comfort and climate section of i-drive, but the manual says it is specific to maintaining the temperature in the cabin during short stops. Honestly, I use it after I've picked up lunch so my car doesn't smell like Thai food when I next get in it.

For those playing at home, it's on page 117, under the title "Residual Heat".

Default Close the windows using the old car key

Just hold the Close button on your car key depressed and it will cause the windows to close, release when the desired windows' position has been achieved.

Same trick for opening, just hold the Open button depressed.

Actually this feature is used extensively in Europe when parking overnight on those narrow roads there by turning the non-curb side parking lights on, will not significantly drain battery in one night either. Rarely used here on this side of the pond though.....

Funny thing about the light switch I read in this thread, when got my 545 4 yrs ago the switch was pushed in never knew it could be pulled out till I read this here....lol

You can activate the Euro "all windows up" locking feature with Carly for BMW coding feature -- for those who are not able to code it other ways.
