Rudy, He's talking about the windows up feature with the lock button on the key. I haven't heard of any US model E60's having this feature yet.
We really do get the short end of the stick on this side of the pond.

My car is US specs, I bought in in Germany through military car sales and I have this function also. The price difference is unbelievable. A German citizen buying the same car I have with options would pay almost $75,000 Euros!!!

Thanks rody... I hadn't heard of any either but based on cwohughes' post, maybe there's something about what country the software is loaded in that makes a difference with this feature. (Assuming that cwohughes' car has a normal US-spec software build.)

The closest thing we get over here to the "all closed/all up" feature is on comfort access cars, you can press and hold the lock target on the door handle and it will work. (Obviously, the alternative is to turn and hold the metal key in the door lock cylinder for non-CA cars...)

Rudy, I think you're right on target with "what country the software is loaded". Yes, my car has the normal US-spec software build.

I know I'm stating the obvious here but that would indicate that the feature is something that's controlled outside of the progman itself. Maybe it's something that's done pre- or post-install like the dealer controlled personal settings? Maybe it's a function of the software (or firmware) that's running on the device used for performing the programming?

Any chance it could be US spec car with UK spec software?

somebody claims the windows cannot remote up/down by holding the unlock/lock buttons. Rudy said it is not available to North America version, but my car is able to do that. Are you sure Rudy?
Mine go down.....but not up

Possible but doubtful. Between ED and the US military, I think there are many US-spec cars in Germany so I'm sure they know what software to load...

I swear that my North American based E60 can open and close the windows and sunroof with the remote. I'll see if I can put up a video of it on Youtube.
